Botanical Dye & Block Printing Workshop

In this workshop you will learn two amazing arts wrapped in one!

First, come learn the art of natural dye with Bloodroot Herb Shop's co-owner Corinne. You'll learn the full process on how to properly use plants to bundle dye a 21x21" silk bandana. Corinne will share knowledge on fibers, mordants, and tried-and-true plants to pair them with so you will have the confidence to repeat the project at home. If there's time, we'll also explore post-dye modifiers for even more color options!

Next up, you'll learn all about the block printing world with Sepi Shokri of Nightwave Prints.  Sepi will teach you about the tools and materials needed to hand carve your own block, then together we'll use our newly carved stamps to print onto our plant dyed bandanas!  NOTE:  Please bring a design idea that you can hand draw in a 4X6" space - simple clean lines, no lettering.  You may optionally choose to use the space to do a few different smaller designs.

All materials are provided, and you take home your creations at the end!
